Notre Dame is off to a very disappointing 2-5 start this season, and losing Jeter would only make matters worse. However, his addition would drastically help Pitt's recruiting class, which is currently ranked 39th at 247Sports. Jeter tweeted about the recruitment process, and he said he wants to visit other schools.

What really drew eyes, though, was that Jeter had to send out separate tweets after some fans apparently harassed him over his decision.

Fans criticizing high school students during the recruitment process will never be okay and will never make sense. It's a shame that a young athlete like Jeter even has to acknowledge something like this just over recruiting.

Do better, people.
