Four-star linebacker Isaac Slade-Matautia turns down hometown Hawaii in commitment

He spurned a lot of the Pac 12 to go here.

Isaac Slade-Matautia is a four-star linebacker in the class of 2017 and he decided he wasn't going to wait until February to make his commitment. He chose one Pac 12 team while at the Polynesian Bowl and a reporter from The Oregonian got it on video:

Slade-Matautia is the No. 2 recruit in the state of Hawaii according to 247Sports and the No. 18 outside linebacker in the class of 2017. He was believed to be down to Nebraska and Oregon in his commitment, but also had offers from Arizona, Hawaii, Arizona State and Colorado among a few others.
