Four-Star WR commits to a rising ACC powerhouse

Good pickup for this team.

Class of 2018 four-star wide receiver Darryl Simmons has decided where he's going to play football at the collegiate level: Virginia Tech.

The Philadelphia, PA. native revealed via Twitter that he's spurning his home-state Penn State Nittany Lions and heading to the ACC to join the rising power that is Justin Fuente's Virginia Tech Hokies.

Simmons was a highly coveted WR in the class of 2018 receiving 15 offers that included: Maryland, North Carolina, Penn State, Temple, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Duke, Kentucky, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Syracuse, Vanderbilt, and Wisconsin.

Simmons figures to be another skillful weapon for Fuente's offense in Blacksburg, and pushes the Hokies to No. 27 overall in recruiting for the 2018 recruiting class according to 247sports.
