Four-star WR shockingly flips from LSU to in-conference rival

He had been committed to LSU since June.

This is a flip that is going to hurt for LSU.

Four-star wide receiver Jhamon Ausbon (6-foot-3, 217 pounds, Bradenton, FL) had been committed to the Tigers since June, but on Tuesday night, he made a shocking decision and flipped his commitment to Texas A&M.

A team that recruits like LSU can absorb one decommit, even from a Top 100 recruit like Ausbon.

However, the decommit does raise an important question: how many current LSU recruits will follow in Ausbon's footsteps and go elsewhere? Interim coach Ed Orgeron seemed popular among players, and if LSU does indeed move on to another coach, could a wave of decommits follow?

At the very least, that will be something to watch. LSU has a lot of top recruits worth pursing if other teams think they can pluck them away from the Tigers.

For Ausbon, he becomes A&M's 24th commitment of the 2017 class. He is also their top-rated recruit overall.
