New York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez is no ordinary rookie.
At just 23 years old, he's accomplished a ridiculous amount of "firsts" and the scary part of it all is that he's just beginning his major league career. His latest —- he won the AL Player of the Month and the Rookie of the Month in just his first month in the show.
He was called up August 2, just after the Yankees decided to sell their prime assets —- relievers Aroldis Chapman and Andrew Miller —- and kick-start their youth movement.
Since then, Sanchez, the No. 1 prospect in the Yankee system, has been a beast:

If that weren't enough, Sanchez had 10 home runs in a span of 12 games, including in three straight.
It's easy to get caught in the "hype" of a rookie, but even when compared against the likes of other phenoms like Mike Trout and Bryce Harper, he blows the competition out of the water. The hype train's engine is whistling and you may want to jump aboard.
