When a high schooler verbally commits to a school, that fan base is expecting him to enroll. That's it. But as we all know, things happen, and people change their minds before signing a national letter of intent.
But for one Georgia signee, it wasn't a fan that was upset over his decision to become a Bulldog — it was a Clemson coach. Defensive back Juwuan Briscoe verbally committed to Clemson before flipping to Georgia, and that upset Tigers defensive backs coach Mike Reed so much so that he blocked him on Twitter. Gasp!
In an interview with Michael Carvell of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Briscoe said things got a little weird after de-committing from Clemson.
"Umm. Coach Reed from Clemson blocked me on Twitter. I don't what's going on with that. I don't know why. But I don't have any problems with Clemson. There are no hard feelings from me. It's just part of how recruiting works. You've got to move on."
Can you get pettier than that?
