If the hot chick in your office approached you, guns blazin', would you let her know or assume it was on purpose? I feel like a vast majority of guys would assume it were on purpose.
That dynamic changes when that same person is someone you'd consider a friend. You'd for sure to tell your friend her shirt was unbuttoned because you've probably spent enough time around her that you know how she dresses. Kind of hard to do a social experiment like that with people you know.
