It looks like it wasn't just the fans who thought WWE lost control of a match, leading to Brock Lesnar busting Randy Orton open the hard way and ending the contest with a TKO victory.

According to Wrestling Observer, Chris Jericho checked on Orton as he was coming backstage, when agent Michael Hayes wouldn't answer whether the finish was planned and Jericho responded that it was "bulls**t."

Lesnar overheard the comment and the two got into a verbal altercation that quickly turned physical, per the report. According to the report, the two had to be separated by Triple H and Vince McMahon.

And yes, the report also states the finish was planned.

Orion had to have 10 staples inserted to close a nasty gash suffered at the hands of Lesnar.

WWE's main event at Summerslam ended when UFC superstar and former WWE champ Lesnar dismantled Orton and ended his night with absolutely brutal elbows to the head, cutting him open the hard way. Orton needed 10 staples to close the wound, per WWE.com.

Orton and Lesnar were very open about their dislike for each other leading up to the match, with comments bordering on "shoot" promos.

While the finish was clearly for Orton to be "knocked out," those knocks on "The Viper" sure didn't look staged.

You can't pay me enough to get in the ring with Lesnar.
