High school coach compares mediocre season to Vietnam

Probably not the words you want to use.

Evidently coaching high schoolers in Texas is like serving in Vietnam.

Or at least that's what one coach compared it too after a 6-6 season in the big-time Texas high school football world, per Dallas News (H/T Football Scoop):

Florek: How much pressure did you feel after going 6-6 at a place like DeSoto?

Peterman: I'm too young to have gone to Vietnam, but you talk about post-traumatic stress disorder and I don't remember much about last year (laughs). So many things were going on and you can only worry about thing at a time, that's what we're doing this year.

Obviously the coach didn't mean that in a literal sense, but evidently the stresses of coaching high school football is extremely high in Texas. Regardless, there's probably a better analogy to use than a horrific war.
