It looks like we have the key to FSU's major losses the last three years

This explains so many things.

Florida State has made it hard on itself when it comes to winning games. This year has been especially brutal with a 5-3 record with all of those losses coming in conference play. The Seminoles have had some bad losses ever since Jameis Winston left and it isn't just because the gunslinger is gone.

Clemson's win over Tallahassee was the first for coach Dabo Swinney and only the second win for Clemson in Tallahassee since the Seminoles joined the ACC in 1992. This telling stat reveals exactly why FSU has been losing games like that and others over the past few years.

It's hard to come back from that kind of deficit in any game, but especially so in the second half. And it's been harder for FSU because it has had so many young guys in crucial positions. Like Deondre Francois at quarterback this season and having such a young offensive line protecting him.
