Tennessee dealt bad news as rising star reportedly charged with misdemeanor

That's not good publicity on National Signing Day.

National Signing Day is supposed to be a day of joy and happiness for the schools involved, but that proved to be a little more difficult for Tennessee. WATE ABC is reporting that star receiver Jauan Jennings was arrested after being cited for drug possession.

The local news affiliate says that Jennings was arrested on Jan. 15 for "simple possession/casual exchange" near campus. It's not clear what kind of punishment Jennings might face if there is to be any at all. He caught seven touchdowns as a sophomore along with 40 passes for 580 yards and earned the reputation as one of the team's most fierce players this past season.
