Jerry Jones finally sets timetable for when to expect Tony Romo resolution

What is the point of dragging this out?

Tony Romo's Dallas Cowboys tenure is expected to come to an end, but team owner Jerry Jones has refused to release the former franchise quarterback amid reports that he could bounce to the Houston Texans.

"There's no waiting game,'' Jones maintained, via SportsDay. "This is the offseason. We're not missing doing anything. From the standpoint of the franchise and the Cowboys, nothing is being held up here at all."

While Jones and the Cowboys aren't missing anything, the longer they wait on moving Romo, the further behind the quarterback will be with his new squad.

And as the situation moves forward, so does the reported dissension between Romo and the Cowboys.

For Romo's sake, hopefully this deal gets done well before training camp.
