Jim Harbaugh just completely blasted his former employers with a hilarious statement

Jim Harbaugh, as usual, wasn't shy in expressing his opinion.

Jim Harbaugh sat down for a 30-minute interview with Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury News and, in short, the lengthy conversation was exactly what you would think from the always entertaining Michigan Wolverines head coach. There were Harbaugh-isms throughout and, of course, there was a "money shot" that included a blast against someone else in the sports world.

This time around, it was fired in the direction of his former employer, the San Francisco 49ers.

"I think we set the record for being [in San Francisco] the longest under the present ownership. I take pride in that. Maybe there should be an endurance medal, a courage medal for that."

In this case, Harbaugh isn't exactly wrong. His personality is well documented, but the 49ers haven't had the best track record of late and the front office is legendary for its dysfunction. During his tenure, Harbaugh was able to lead Colin Kaepernick and company to a Super Bowl appearance and, while the exit wasn't pretty, the success did exist.

The full interview is certainly worth a listen, if only because it isn't every day that Harbaugh grants this kind of time and access to a journalist. Sit back and enjoy the ride.
