Kansas sweeps KSU with close win in the 'Little Apple'

Kansas still owns the Big 12 and the conference championship will run through Lawrence.

No. 2 Kansas (23-4, 11-3) traveled to Manhattan, Kan. to face rival Kansas State (15-12, 4-10) and came out with a hard-fought 72-63 win. It was an ugly game for the Wildcats as they were only able to shoot 37.7 percent from the field while the Jayhawks made half their shots.

Perry Ellis had 14 points, Frank Mason led all scorers in the game with 16 and Wayne Selden had 12 points to round out the double-digit scorers for Kansas. Kansas had three more assists and two more rebounds than K-State, which helped the cause. Kansas next plays at Baylor on Tuesday.
