Kentucky escapes huge upset thanks to some clutch defense

Well that stinks.

2-seed Kentucky took out 10-seed Wichita State 65-62 thanks to some timely defensive stops and two huge blocks from the Wildcats at the end of the game. The Shockers had two shots at tying the game, but couldn't get off a shot thanks to an incredible stand by Malik Monk and Bam Adebayo.

WSU's Landry Shamet tried to be a hero with the last shot to take the game into overtime, but it was not meant to be. The Wildcats will play the winner of the UCLA/Cincinnati game later today.
