Kentucky stays atop the SEC with win over Tennessee

Winning feels nice.

No. 14 Kentucky (20-6, 10-3) hosted Tennessee (12-14, 5-8) Thursday night and won the rematch after getting upset earlier in the season in Knoxville. The Wildcats won 80-70 despite not shooting well and only getting a significant scoring punch from three of its players.

Tyler Ulis only had 11 points but also recorded nine assists and four rebounds. Jamal Murray and Derek Willis combined for 53 points and 14 rebounds. No one else scored more than five points for UK, but the Wildcats did hold Tennessee to only 38 percent shooting and had nine more boards than the Vols.

Kentucky now owns the top spot in the SEC with this win and can control its own destiny with another win at Texas A&M on Saturday.
