The College GameDay crew was only in the first hour of the show, but hit on some heavy topics. One of which was the Texas job and Charlie Strong eventually being pushed out of it. Kirk Herbstreit in particular had some incredibly strong words on the topic and actually hopes Strong can leave the program soon.

Herbstreit went on to say in the segment that Strong was set up to fail and Red McCombs —- a huge booster with his name on the business school in Austin —- said that Strong wasn't the right guy before he ever even started. The Longhorns are 13-16 and 9-10 in conference so far in Strong's third season coaching, but has had a progressively stronger recruiting class each year he's been there.
