Latest mock draft has one college standout surging up the board

That seems like a huge jump.

Rob Rang of CBS Sports just released his latest mock draft and he is incredibly high on a surprising player in Florida State's Dalvin Cook. While some analysts believe he is the better running back than LSU's Leonard Fournette, no one else has either of them mocked to go in the top five of the NFL Draft.

In fact, Rang has a hometown team drafting Cook in the Jacksonville Jaguars at No. 4 and here's his reason why:

Tom Coughlin will bring a no-nonsense approach back to Jacksonville, including a renewed commitment to the running game. Jacksonville was the only team with more lost fumbles (nine) than rushing touchdowns (eight) in 2016. Instinctive, explosive and durable, Cook might be hard to pass up for a franchise that has gone with a local flavor with its past three first-round picks: QB Blake Bortles (Central Florida), DE Dante Fowler (Florida) and CB Jalen Ramsey (Florida State).

The in-state flavor definitely makes sense and it would make for a nice reunion between Cook and Ramsey. Cook finished his career as the leading rusher in FSU history and broke records that were held by the legendary Warrick Dunn. It would also give the Jags a legitimate rushing threat to help relieve some of the pressure off QB Blake Bortles —- something they haven't had since the golden age of Maurice Jones-Drew.

Cook's sturdiness and ability to hold on to the ball will be big as the Jags were the only team last season to have more lost fumbles (9) than rushing touchdowns (8). His durability will also be a huge factor as he has not missed many games due to injury or as a precaution like Fournette did the past couple of seasons.
