LSU running back Leonard Fournette cause a media firestorm when it was announced that he would be sitting out the team's bowl game in order to prepare for the 2017 NFL Draft. However, Fournette made an interesting admission on Friday in an interview with the NFL, saying that the decision wasn't his.
It was then interim head coach Ed Orgeron's.
"To be honest, it really wasn't my decision," Fournette said on sitting out. "My coach brought me into the office. He told me 'You have a lot on the line.' He didn't want me to play."

Fournette dealt with an ankle injury for the entirity of the 2016 season, and the ailment cause him to miss several games. Him sitting out the bowl game against Louisville really made sense in the long term, but it's interesting that this comes out now that Coach Orgeron may have had more to do with it than Fournette did.
Fournette the SEC's leading rusher from the 2015 season, is expected to go very early in the first round of the Draft.
