Les Miles may have shed some light on his next job during an ESPN appearance

Miles was fired earlier this season by LSU.

Les Miles tried to not show his hand too much during an ESPN appearance during the Michigan and Indiana game on Saturday... but he may have given us some information on where he will be heading for his next job.

"I would have to see if there's a match out there for me, and a quality institution," Miles said when asked about his job status. "At this point, I can't tell you. My want is to be a football coach. I enjoy being with young me, I enjoy pointing at the field, I enjoy playing for victory."

Miles can always be a quizzical person to talk to, but just based off that quote, it sounds like Miles has definitely received interest from multiple programs. Even more specifically, it sounds like he will likely stay in the college ranks after some speculation that he could head to the NFL.

Also important here: it doesn't sound like Miles is interested in an assistant's job at all, which is a move that had been previously speculated.

Miles was famously on the hot seat at the end of last year before LSU eventually fired him after a 18-13 loss to Auburn this season. Since then, Miles has had his named tossed around for many potential openings, including Purdue, Baylor, and even Notre Dame.
