Les Miles 'no longer in the running' for Power Five coaching job

He'll have his job soon enough.

Les Miles has seemingly been on every list for high-profile coaching jobs this fall and yet, nothing has happened with him yet. Well, now we can cross off one more from the list.

Miles is currently on the short list for the Houston head coaching job and that has put him "out of the running" at a Power Five school according to ESPN. He had also been mentioned for the opening at Purdue, but ESPN's sources said that was no longer a possibility.

Houston board of regents chairman Tilman Fertitta told the Houston Chronicle that Miles is under consideration for the Cougars job along with Lane Kiffin.
