LSU announces second dismissal for former four-star defensive tackle

This can't be good.

For the second time, defensive tackle Travonte Valentine has been dismissed from LSU.

"At this point in time, Travonte is no longer part of our football program," head coach Ed Orgeron said in a statement. "We wish him the best."

Valentine, a former four-star JUCO recruit, was originally dismissed from LSU back in 2015 for failed drug tests and academic violations before being readmitted. It looks like LSU has dismissed him for the second time, and it's highly unlikely that he will be back for a third go-around.

LSU did not specify why it dismissed Valentine. The 315-pound defensive tackle played in five games in 2016, recording 10 tackles.
