LSU losing key member of its special teams

That seems like an odd thing for LSU to let happen.

LSU senior kicker Trent Domingue is going to find another school to play for in his fifth season of collegiate football after not having his scholarship renewed. Domingue was a Lou Groza Award semifinalist just this past season, but will now try to find somewhere else to play as he is immediately eligible thanks to his graduate transfer status.

He posted this note to his Twitter on Wednesday night thanking everyone for his time at the university.

Domingue started as a walk-on in 2012 and first saw action in 2014 as a kickoff specialist. He had 28 touchbacks on 51 kickoffs and made 13 of his 17 field goal attempts in 2015. He also scored a huge touchdown against Florida to put his team up 35-28 in the fourth quarter off a crazy fake field goal —- probably his most memorable play as a Tiger.
