LSU reportedly prepared to make Lane Kiffin an offer he can't refuse

This could get interesting.

LSU has officially named Ed Orgeron it's permanent head coach and now it's time to fill out the rest of the staff. The position of offensive coordinator is going to be the most important role that needs to be filled as Orgeron is a more defensive-minded guy.

Orgeron hinted at hiring a big-time addition for the offensive coordinator spot in his press conference earlier on Saturday and it's sounding like it's going to be Alabama's Lane Kiffin:

That kind of money would easily make Kiffin the highest paid assistant coach in the country and would be almost as much as Orgeron is expected to make.

Kiffin would probably like coaching with Orgeron as the two are buddies and go back to when they were coaching at USC and Tennessee. Kiffin's current contract also runs out in February, but he could be pursued by other schools looking for a head coach.
