Man charged with murder following Cowboys game, and that might not be the worst part

The incident occurred after Sunday's Cowboys game against Tampa.

According to CBS Austin, a man has been charged with murder in the death of his own stepmother following this past Sunday's Dallas Cowboys game.

The report lists Pontrey O'Neal Jones, 20, as being charged following the death of Magdalena Ruiz, his stepmother, in a stabbing incident on Sunday. Jones, Ruiz, and Jones' father were reportedly watching the Cowboys game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which Dallas won 26-20.

According to an arrest affidavit obtained by CBS Austin, Jones then became upset after the game over Ruiz "gloating" about the win to his father. Jones then allegedly grabbed a knife and stabbed Ruiz multiple times before his father intervened. Jones later fled the apartment, only to be found — naked — 10 minutes later by police.

Jones has been charged with first-degree murder and is currently being held on a half-million dollar bond. Ruiz, 35, was later pronounced dead at a local medical center.
