LSU needed to get on the recruiting trail hard now that Ed Orgeron is the permanent coach and the recruits have an idea of what to expect from the head coach. It looks like Orgeron has gotten a good start on protecting whichever quarterback ends up committing to the Tigers. He got a nice big offensive lineman in 6'5", 314-pound Saahdiq Charles:

Charles is ranked a four-star recruit by 247Sports and is the No. 16 offensive guard in the class of 2017 and No. 7 recruit in the state of Mississippi. He also had offers from Tennessee, Louisville and Cincinnati among others.
