During Alabama coach Nick Saban’s weekly radio show the Tide coach had some pointed remarks regarding Blake Barnett’s decision to transfer in the middle of the season. Saban made several comments about his father not ever allowing him to “quit the team” and he discussed the importance of seeing things through.

It was clear that Saban was talking about Barnett even if Saban never mentioned him by name and the day after the media is crushing him.

There is a point to be made here, Saban didn’t finishing things out in Miami and he did leave during his contract to head to Alabama. The difference is that Saban didn’t leave in the middle of the season like Barnett did. He may not be completely innocent here, but the situations are not the same.
