Kim Kardashian West thought Sunday night was the last day of her life.

A rep for the reality star said that Kardashian West “was held up at gunpoint inside her Paris hotel room this evening by two armed, masked men dressed as police officers.” The incident was scary and thankfully, Kardashian West was only “badly shaken but not physically harmed.”

New details about what really happened overnight have emerged in the hours since it was first reported.

According to E! News, the French Interior Ministry said five men threatened the concierge with a weapon, handcuffed him and forced him to bring them to Kardashian West’s room. Once at the room, a source claims that they bound her at her hands and feet and gagged her.

“She begged for them to let her live and [said] she has babies at home. Then they wrapped her mouth in tape and put her in the bathtub,” the source said. “She thought they were for sure going to kill her.”

The men took off on bicycles after fleeing the scene with one of Kardashian West’s rings valued at an estimated $4.49 million and a jewelry box worth an estimated $5.6 million. The theives also took off with her purse, two cell phones and 1,000 euros according to BFM TV. They are still at large.

Once they were gone, Kardashin West “broke out of her bindings and got out.”

She spoke with Parisian police and boarded a private plane en route to the U.S. on Monday. Her children, Saint West and North West were reportedly not in the room at the time of the incident.

Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo released a statement about the incident on Twitter.

“This very rare act occurred in a private space and does not in any way call into question the work of the police and the security of the public space,” she wrote.
