C.J. Beathard didn't throw that much at Iowa... unless you read his NFL.com profile.
According to NFL.com, Beathard had a modest season in 2016, throwing for 1,929 yards and 147 touchdowns on the year.
That's right. One hundred and forty-seven touchdowns.
In reality, Beathard threw for 17 touchdowns... the Hawkeyes didn't have the greatest offense in the world. But boy, can you imagine? It was fun watching Lamar Jackson score over 50 touchdowns last season. 147 would be epic.
