NFL prospect’s world has been rocked with a horrific tragedy just days before the Draft

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

NFL draft prospect Travis Rudolph and his family are in mourning following the tragic, accidental shooting death of his father.

Darryl Rudolph, 55, a repairman, was working in the storage room of a business when another employee in an adjacent room was moving a firearm, and it discharged, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's office. The bullet struck Rudolph in the back/neck area, and he died at a local hospital.

Travis Rudolph, a former Florida State wide receiver, is project as a third-day pick in this week's NFL draft.  While at FSU, he caught 153 receptions for  2,311 yards receiving with 18 career touchdowns.
