Notre Dame hands down discipline for arrested players, dismisses key defender

We finally have some discipline.

It was a mystery as to when Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly was going to hand down some discipline for his five players who were arrested last week. That mystery has been solved as defensive back Max Redfield has officially been dismissed from the team as announced by the coach.

Punishments for Ashton White, Kevin Stepherson Jr., Dexter Williams and Te'Von Coney have not been announced yet though. Redfield was the most prominent of the players having started the past two seasons and finishing fourth on the team in 2015 with 64 total tackles and recording one interception.

Devin Butler was also arrested, but he was arrested the next day on Saturday in a separate incident. His punishment is an indefinite suspension.
