Report: Notre Dame has found a new offensive coordinator

Notre Dame was in need of a new offensive coordinator.

With Mike Denbrock heading to join Luke Fickell's staff off at Cincinnati, Notre Dame needed to find a new offensive coordinator. It didn't take them long to do so.

According to FOX Sports' Bruce Feldman, Notre Dame is expected to hire Memphis offensive coordinator Chip Long to the same position.

Memphis averaged over 38 points per game this season in Long's first with the Tigers as offensive coordinator. Long has also coached at Arizona State and Louisville in his career.

Notre Dame has lost multiple assistant coaches this offseason with some controversy surrounding Brian Kelly's future, but Long should help provide the Fighting Irish with some stability heading into 2017.
