It appears that Malik Zaire isn't wasting any time with his transfer from Notre Dame.
According to Scout, Zaire will be visiting Wisconsin and North Carolina this week, "likely checking out the Badgers on Wednesday and the Tar Heels on Friday." Michigan State and Pitt are also rumored to be teams interested in Zaire at quarterback.
Zaire will be transferring after graduating, meaning he will be immediately eligible to play in 2017 once the transfer is official. Zaire's career at Notre Dame had been underwhelming, as an injury in just his third career start in 2015 completely derailed his career with the Fighting Irish. Zaire was usurped by star quarterback Deshone Kizer after the injury, and it appears that Kizer could be heading to the NFL.

Even though Zaire was rated as one of the top dual-threats of the 2013 recruiting class, Scout is reporting that Zaire hopes to transfer to a more pass-heavy system. With only one year of eligibility left, Zaire likely hopes to impress NFL scouts as much as possible in that one season.
Florida had once been considered a destination for Zaire, but they have been blocked due to transfer restrictions after failing to comply with graduate rules. Scout also notes that Auburn had reached out to Zaire, but likely declined due to the offensive preference listed above.
Zaire, a former four-star recruit of the 2013 recruiting class, has thrown for 816 yards and six touchdowns in his Notre Dame career. Most notably, Zaire completely 31-of-37 (83.7-percent) passes in his two biggest starts against LSU in 2014 and Texas in 2015.
