Ohio State is reportedly bringing yet another NFL coach to its staff

Seems like a pretty solid hire.

Ohio State has reportedly added former NFL assistant coach Bill Davis to its coaching staff.

Davis will likely take some of the responsibilities co-defensive coordinator Luke Fickell had before he left for Cincinnati.

Davis worked in the NFL since 1992, with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Carolina Panthers, Cleveland Browns, Green Bay Packers, Atlanta Falcons, New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers, Arizona Cardinals and most recently as defensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Fickell, just 42 years old, has spent the last 12 seasons as a defensive coordinator or co-coordinator and was named one of the nation's top recruiters in 2012.

Fickell served as Ohio State's interim head coach between Jim Tressel and Urban Meyer.
