Urban Meyer and the Ohio State Buckeyes will be without one of the most talented players in the program for the 2016 season and it won't be because of injury. Former five-star recruit Torrance Gibson, who famously transitioned from dual-threat quarterback to wide receiver, has been suspended for the 2016 campaign.

Ohio State red-shirt freshman wide receiver Torrance Gibson has been suspended from The Ohio State University for the 2016 fall semester for a violation of the University's student code of conduct.
Gibson, who stands at 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds, sat out the 2015 season as a redshirt, but he was expected to compete for playing time on the outside in his second year with the program. Though there was no guarantee that the one-time phenom quarterback would have received regular reps on the outside, there is no question that Gibson is one of the more physically gifted players in a program loaded with talent in that regard.
At this time, specific information as to Gibson's transgression is very limited, but what we do know is that Meyer and his coaching staff will be short one potentially key piece when the season opens later this week. Stay tuned.
