One five-star recruit just ran a 4.32 at The Opening

Now that is speed to get excited about!

If you are looking for some more speed on your college football team, then we have just the guy for you.

Bleacher Report broke down the top 40-yard dash times from this week's The Opening in Oregon, and one guy in particular was at the top of the list: five-star athlete Darnay Holmes.

Holmes (5-foot-10, 190 pounds, Calabasas, CA) is one of the top uncommitted recruits of the 2017 class, and his recruitment might heat up after this news: Holmes ran a 4.32 40 at The Opening, a time that is certified by Nike.

According to 247Sports, UCLA and Nebraska are the current leaders for Holmes, but Michigan and Ohio State could be putting heat on the trail for his recruitment. After this performance, though, it will be interesting to see if any team is able to rise to the top.

Holmes wasn't the only recruit to run a 4.32 at The Opening. According to Bleacher Report, it looks like four-star Salvon Ahmed (6-foot-0, 185 pounds, Kirkland, WA) also reportedly hit that mark. Washington is the current favorite for Ahmed, but like Holmes, it will be interesting to see how that changes with this time.
