The Houston Texans had a solid 2017 NFL Draft, but one of their best under-the-radar draft picks was Texas running back D’Onta Foreman.
Foreman, however, has had some injury problems during his college career. Those injuries may have caused Foreman to fall out of shape.
Via Houston Chronicle:
“Beyond competing for playing time behind Miller, Foreman has to get into optimal condition. Texans coach Bill O’Brien noted that Foreman and other rookies have some work to do to get into ideal football shape. Foreman worked on the side during practice Saturday, riding a stationary exercise bike.”
“Foreman was listed at 249 pounds last season at Texas, but is now listed 16 pounds lighter.”
The Texans don’t seem to be too worried about Foreman’s shape right now, but it certainly is something to monitor this summer as the former Texas star is already returning from injury issues and working his way back into playing shape.
It certainly sounds like Foreman isn’t going to begin his NFL career with a major workload.
