One of the hottest coaches on the market won’t even consider the Baylor gig

He sounds pretty adamant about it.

Colorado coach Mike MacIntyre has been dealing with some speculation that he might bolt for the opening at Baylor considering how hot he is right now and Baylor's desperate need for some energy injection into the program. However, he made it pretty clear after the Buffaloes' 41-10 loss to Washington Friday that he is not going anywhere.

He was also rumored to be a part of the LSU coaching search, but obviously didn't quite make the cut there. And it doesn't sound like he would have gone there either given the opportunity.

"I'm not going to Baylor," MacIntyre told The Denver Post after the Buffs' 41-10 loss to Washington. "I love it at Colorado. And my family loves Colorado."

Colorado athletic director Rick George said that he "absolutely" expects the newly minted Pac-12 Coach of the Year to stay with the program. He also said that he is going to sit down with MacIntyre to discuss the state of the program and a possible extension for the coach.

MacIntyre is currently the lowest paid coach in the Pac-12 at just over $2 million a year.
