One of WWE's top performers suffers injury at potentially the worst time

Ouch, that doesn't look good.

With WWE's recent brand split, there is more time than ever for superstar to get time on television. One of those stars hoping to get time, Bray Wyatt, may have just suffered an ankle injury at the wrong time.

The short clip you see above is from Tuesday's episode of SmackDown Live, where Wyatt faced off with Dolph Ziggler in the show's main event. During the match, Ziggler went for a roll-up pin, and it looks like Wyatt's ankle gets caught during the action.

Wyatt reacted badly, and the ref even tried to stop the match. However, Wyatt persevered and finished the rest of the match, which Ziggler won to retain his No. 1 contender's spot for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam.

Even though Waytt finished the match, the injury could be serious enough that he could be pulled from this weekend's live WWE events. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, this will only happen if the injury is indeed severe.

This is not the first time Wyatt has suffered an injury at the wrong time. In 2015, he hurt his ankle while training for his match with the Undertaker at WrestleMania 31. He still wrestled that match, but he wasn't as lucky at this year's WrestleMania, where he was kept off the card and out of the ring for a few weeks thanks to a calf injury.

Hopefully Wyatt is fine, as the company needs all hands on deck heading into what is looking like a stacked SummerSlam card.
