UPDATE: It’s official! Has the record!!

***Original story below***

It’s not official yet, but it looks like we may have a record for the best 40-time in NFL Combine history.

Washington wide receiver John Ross was already known as a quick guy even among receivers, and now it looks like he will go down in the lore of the NFL Combine after cranking out an unofficial 4.22 in the 40-yard dash.

The record of years’ past has been Chris Johnson’s 4.24, and even he took notice of Ross’ unofficial 4.22.

Prior to Ross’ run, the leader at this year’s Combine was North Carolina’s T.J. Logan with a 4.37.
