This will be their 12th straight bowl appearance.

BYU got their sixth win of the season on Saturday, beating Southern Utah 37-7. The bowl invitation, while early, sets up for the Cougars to play a Mountain West team in the postseason. This will be BYU's second appearance in the Poinsettia Bowl in the last five years, and it will be their 12th straight overall bowl appearance.
