Orlando writer says Cam Newton would be a hero right now if he had only done this one thing in college

Ridiculous.

Cam Newton has done early everything during his young professional career.

He won a National Championship, became the Heisman trophy winner, won MVP and took the Carolina Panthers to the Super Bowl. But one writer in Orlando detailed in a column that Newton should have studied teammate Tim Tebow during his time at Florida and he wouldn't be the NFL's biggest villain right now if he had done so.

To back that idea, the main point of the article boils down to Newton reacting like this:

Not this:

Everyone reacts to losses differently. Newton sat there for two minutes and 14 seconds taking his questions and answering them (albeit short answers). Just because he didn't cry, break down and say he was coming back better than ever doesn't make him any less impactful of a leader than Tebow.

It just gives us one less soundbite to go by when looking for motivational quotes.
