Packers will be seriously shorthanded without top playmaker against Cowboys

Brutal news for the Packers.

If the Green Bay Packers return to the NFC Championship game, they'll have to do so without top playmaker Jordy Nelson.

Nelson fractured "at least two ribs" against the New York Giants last weekend, and will not be available on Sunday.

Nelson is quarterback Aaron Rodgers' favorite target, and he led the Packers in receiving yards (almost 1,300) and touchdowns (14). Nelson has been targeted 152 times this season, with Davante Adams (121) and Randall Cobb (84) the next most targeted.
