Patriots considering trading a vital piece of their offense, and it has everything to do with Tom Brady

This would be a bit of a risk

Tom Brady will turn be 40-years-old at the start of the 2017 season, but he still thinks he has 3-5 years remaining in his career—and the New England Patriots believe him.

According the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Patriots might be more inclined to trade backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo before next season since they believe Brady can play for several more years.

The Patriots are reportedly asking for at least a first round pick in exchange for Garoppolo. The Cleveland Browns, San Francisco 49ers and Chicago Bears are expected to be interested in Garoppolo.

Brady is starting in his seventh Super Bowl, which is the most of any quarterback in NFL history.
