Patriots beat writer quickly deletes tasteless tweet about Derek Carr's injury

This is just terrible to say.

The No. 1 seed for the AFC is up for grabs between the New England Patriots and Oakland Raiders going into the last week of the season. Whoever gets it not only get a first week bye, but also home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Obviously those are some pretty high stakes and for the Raiders, it just got a whole lot more difficult.

The Raiders lost star quarterback in Derek Carr to a nasty injury. He broke his fibula and he is out indefinitely and will require surgery. Once that news spread, a Patriots beat writer for the Boston Globe tweeted out a rather offensive and insensitive post:

I know you might enjoy the Patriots getting homefield advantage, but it is not cool to make light of another man's injury. That's his livelihood you're just tossing to the side. Be better than that. He ended up deleting the tweet, but not before a screenshot could be taken.
