Prominent college football analyst sees QB play hurting LSU's chances against Tide

When Alabama and LSU face off so much attention is always paid to the running game and to defense. These two teams have become known for dominating defenses and punishing running games and when they match up with each other the game is always a knock down drag out fight in the trenches.

Something that is not often talked about, but always seems to make a difference in a key moment are the quarterbacks. In the recent past not having a QB who could make the play when needed has really hurt the Tigers and according to one Fox analyst 2016 will be a repeat of poor QB play from LSU.

"I think it will be close," Fox Sports' Bruce Feldman said. "Ultimately I do not have enough confidence in Danny Etling to beat Nick Saban's defense."

"As good as Leonard Fournette is, as good as Guice is, I just ultimately think that quarterback-wise, I'm not sure they're good enough," Feldman said "I don't know that their offensive line can avoid some of the mistakes, because Alabama comes at you in waves."

QB play has been improved for LSU as the season has progressed, but Feldman doesn't see Alabama's defense struggling with the young Etling.
