Promising news emerges for former champion after injury scare

This would be really cool to see.

At Smackdown Live's WWE Elimination Chamber PPV earlier this year, Naomi surprised WWE Smackdown Live Women's Champion Alexa Bliss by beating her and winning her first championship with the company. Naomi's victory was well-received, but her reign was cut short after she was forced to vacate the title due to an injury that was previously reported to keep her from returning at WrestleMania 33.

Now, that doesn't look to be the case, as Naomi is reportedly likely to be a surprise entrant in the Smackdown Live Women's Championship match at WrestleMania in her hometown of Orlando, Florida.

"The word going around is Naomi will likely be back in time for WrestleMania 33 as a surprise challenger for Alexa Bliss and the SmackDown women's championship."

This would be a huge return for Naomi, as she figures to get a very nice pop at the event if she does indeed end up being a surprise entrant in the match.

It would make sense, too, that if Naomi is cleared to return for the match, she would be the favorite to win the strap from Bliss.
