Rams add a huge name to coaching staff after hiring youngest head coach in NFL history

The Rams made two big hires on Thursday.

The Rams are taking a bit of a gamble after hiring 30-year old Sean McVay as their new head coach, but it looks like they are hoping to hedge their bets with a big-name hire at defensive coordinator.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Rams will be adding current Broncos defensive coordinator Wade Phillips to their staff at the same position.

Phillips should definitely add some stability to the Rams' staff, as Phillips has over 40 years of experience as a coach. He also adds a ring to the locker room, as Phillips was the defensive coordinator last season for Denver's Super Bowl win.
