Earlier in the week, the nation's No. 4 quarterback, Justin Rogers, announced that he will be making his college pledge on May 31. Beyond that, the talented signal-caller indicated that he has a clear top three with North Carolina, TCU and LSU, sending many in the recruiting world into the prediction game with regard to his final decision.
With that as the backdrop, recruiting expert Mike Farrell of Rivals has weighed in and he believes hat Rogers is headed to play for Gary Patterson and the Horned Frogs.
"I think he picks TCU. He's had a strong relationship with the coaches there for a long time and seems to really like the way he fits. He's a quarterback who would fit into any offense, but an offense where he has space to move around and get the ball out of his hands quickly would likely be ideal which leans more towards TCU and UNC. He stays closer to home and picks the Horned Frogs."
The 6'4, 200-pound dual-threat quarterback would certainly be a huge get or TCU and, as Farrell notes, Rogers also looks to be a very nice fit there. There is a long way to go, even over less than three weeks, and a lot can happen. Still, an endorsement like this could be (very) good news for Patterson and his staff.
