Report: Former WWE champion likely to return in March

This would be a much needed boost.

WWE may be without superstar Seth Rollins in the run up to WrestleMania, but it look like they will be getting some reinforcements soon.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, former WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor is expected to return to the ring in March. Balor has been sidelined since SummerSlam after suffering, among other things, a dislocated shoulder in a match with Seth Rollins. Balor finished that match with the injury, where he was crowned the inaugural Universal Champion after a win.

Rumor of Balor's potential return on Sunday's Royal Rumble were rampant, but Meltzer notes that Balor was not cleared for the event and that WWE wasn't planning on him to ever be cleared for it.

However, it looks like Balor is going to be ready for WrestleMania, which could prove to be a huge boost for WWE if Rollins is forced to miss the event with a knee injury.
